I. THE HISTORY OF THE DOCTRINE CONCERNING THE WRITINGS
II. THE WRITINGS ARE THE WORD FOR THE NEW CHURCH
Do the Writings refer to themselves as the Word?
The Writings and Correspondences
Conjunction with Heaven by the Writings
Holiness to be Predicated also of the Writings
III. THE APPLICATION TO THE WRITINGS OF THE TEACHINGS CONCERNING THE WORD
The Word is Divine Truth
The Word Contains a Spiritual Sense hitherto unknown
The Sense of the Letter is the Basis, Containant and Firmament of the Interior Senses
In it Divine Truth is in its Fullness, Holiness and Power
From it is to be Drawn the Doctrine of the Church
Genuine Truth does not Appear in it save to those in Enlightenment.
By it there is Conjunction with the Lord and Consociation with angels.
The Word is in the Heavens. The Church is from the Word and according to the understanding thereof.
Everything in the Word is the Marriage of the Lord and the Church.
Heresies may be taken from the Sense of the Letter.
The Lord Fulfilled the Word. There was a Word that is lost. By the Word those also have Light who have not the Word.
Without the Word there would be no Knowledge of God, of Heaven and Hell, etc.
